Fabricator / Welder – Coach Builder (Trailer & Body Builds)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder – Coach Builder to join our team, specialising in trailer chassis fabrication and full body builds. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and finishing high-quality trailer chassis and bespoke body structures from the ground up. This role requires strong fabrication skills, precision welding, and the ability to interpret technical drawings to deliver durable, roadworthy builds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble trailer chassis from raw materials to finished frame
  • Construct full trailer bodies including structural framing, panelling, and
  • finishing components
  • Perform MIG on mild steel, stainless steel (as required)
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and build specifications
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal components with accuracy
  • Install flooring, wall panels, doors, hinges, and associated hardware
  • Ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety and regulatory

  • Inspect completed work for quality control and dimensional accuracy

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a fabricator/welder, preferably in trailer manufacturing or coach building
  • Strong MIG welding skills (TIG and aluminium experience advantageous)
  • Ability to fabricate from chassis upward without reliance on prefabricated kits
  • Competent in reading and interpreting fabrication drawings
  • Experience with cutting, grinding, drilling, and metal forming tools
  • Basic hand tools and wood making tools
  • Knowledge of trailer regulations and road compliance standards
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Trade qualification in Fabrication/Welding or similar (preferred)
  • Experience in custom trailer or commercial vehicle body building (preferred)
  • Forklift license (desirable)
  • Ability to perform light mechanical fitting (preferred)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator Welder with experience in stainless steel fabrication for commercial kitchen equipment and architectural metalwork. The ideal candidate will have strong TIG welding skills, be comfortable working from technical drawings, and take pride in producing high-quality, sanitary-grade finishes suitable for food service environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, assemble, and weld stainless steel components for commercial kitchen equipment (e.g., countertops, sinks, cabinets, shelving, hoods, wall panels, and custom fixtures)
  • Perform precision TIG welding on stainless steel (16–14 gauge and similar)
  • Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and production specifications
  • Cut, bend, grind, and polish stainless steel materials to meet design and sanitary standards
  • Ensure all welds meet structural and aesthetic quality standards
  • Maintain clean, smooth, and food-safe finishes
  • Operate fabrication equipment including, press brakes, rollers, saws, grinders, and polishing tools
  • Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organised workspace
  • Collaborate with shop team members and project managers to meet production deadlines

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in stainless steel fabrication and TIG welding (preferred)
  • Proven experience working with commercial kitchen or food-service equipment (preferred)
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Experience with grinding, finishing, and polishing stainless steel
  • Knowledge of sanitary welding standards for food-grade environments
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Experience fabricating custom commercial kitchen equipment
  • Knowledge of food safety fabrication requirements
  • Ability to layout and develop flat patterns

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Press Brake / CNC Laser Operative to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating Trumpf CNC laser cutting and press brake machinery to manufacture precision sheet metal components to high quality standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, program, and operate Trumpf CNC laser cutting machines
  • Set up and operate Trumpf press brake machines
  • Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work orders
  • Select appropriate tooling and materials for each job
  • Perform machine adjustments to ensure precision and quality
  • Conduct first-off inspections and in-process quality checks
  • Measure finished components using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment
  • Ensure parts meet tolerances and quality standards
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine or production issues
  • Maintain a safe and organized working environment
  • Adhere to health & safety procedures at all times
